Giving Back to District 31

Nothing has brought me greater fulfillment than giving back to the people of our district.

During my first campaign in 2020, I met a 77-year-old man who was homeless and living out of his truck in downtown Georgetown. I am honored to have personally funded and built a brand-new home for him—transforming his life from living in a vehicle to having a safe and stable place to call his own. This project was completed without a single dollar of government assistance, using only our own resources. This is the true spirit of America: people helping others not through bureaucracy or taxpayer money, but through compassion, community, and personal commitment. I am incredibly proud of my team for making this project a reality, and we are determined to build more homes like this across Central Texas—because no American should have to live that way.

In my second campaign in 2022, I met a veteran in Gatesville who was raising her three abandoned grandchildren on her own. These young children had no proper place to live or play. Despite the economic challenges I faced—particularly under the Biden administration’s harmful policies—I remained committed to helping them. I personally contributed over $17,300 of my own money to build an addition to their home, creating the extra space these children needed and deserved.
